Pinch, Punch 1st of the month and all that gubbins! Welcome back everyone, and I trust mucho choc was munched?! As well as the cranking surf we've had! Wow, Managed to kick it off on my home grounds back in North Devon with blazing sun and 4ft+ clean Sweet! Much surf was had by all! Emmer and I traveled back on Sunday through South Wales making a few days of it in the van hitting the fresh west reef about 7-8ft clean again. Woo! Meanwhile up here in North Wales I've had reports back from people that it was truly going off here too. Not supprising with the quality of swell and extremely favorable winds we saw last weekend. Hope everyone had fun! So whats in store for the rest of the weekend and next week? Since the swell dropped off mid weeks we've seen just the underlying foot or so rollng in in the remaining easterlys. Now winds are swinging south its chopping up whats left and by late sunday monday the South-Westerlyes return as the next low approaces from the North West. You might catch an very early morning wave on Sat at the mouth before the winds swing SW, 2ft max Earlyest prospect of any swell now won't be manafesting untill Monday/Tuesday when the bulk of the low pressule passes over the U and the swell rolls in. Looking like its going to be chopped up by local winds unfortunatly so its back to the shelterd spots I'll give a breakdown report day by day on Monday for the week ahead. Surf Relief Day - North WalesAs you know is kicking off on the 9th with a surf comp, beachcombr omp, surf cinema and a after party - see surfreliefnorth.magicseaweed.com for the full details. Early surf prospects for the comp are looking OKish as long as the system chasing the current low continues o do this. Surf Team members and friends of the team - we have a number of after party tickets reserved for us untill Wednesday the 6th so contact me if you want one as its unlikly that any will be avalable on the day.

Afternoon everyone the weather has just broken after the front of the low hits our shores... Forecast for the weekTuesdayAs the front pussed from the NW over the UK local winds begin producing a small but riable swell looking like and average of 2-3ft on the usual beachs, HM etc Angelseys open spots will be getting much the same and with some gusty WSW winds for the day your gonning to need to find shelter. WednesdayToday sees the centre of the low passing over us and the begingins of the wraparpund swell should be taveling up the irish sea by dawn. A big jump in size up to a 9.5ft peek on the bouy so we're looking at 5ft+ at hells mouth and its going to be a gale force mess comming in on all shores. Winds SWS earlymorning moving into WSW doe the day. North Shore might just hold if size stays high ThursdayLooking the most promisig condition wise with the swell size averaging out at 7-8ft on the bouy with a NW wind by midday. Just enough for Ceriad and other NW shelterd spots but BIG! Angesey for selection of shelter spots, Ceriad if you like big wedges like me Weekend ProspectsThe WAM charts indicate a surge of groundswell over the weekend but the wind is very likly to hide this. Again still early prospects but I can say there deffintly will be a wave for the Surf Relief comp be it a bit chilly with NNW winds. Not Idlea but atleast its not looking flat. I'll be updateing Thursday time for th weekend, What I can say is Wrap up warm!

Wednesday Update
An ulgy day out there, gale force winds and rain but there is a 8ft plus swell at time of writing and is set for the day. Just big enough for the North Shore and winds are looking to remain WSW-W for the day. The likes of Sands should be able to hold this for high tide which is around 7:30am. (2hrs later for angelsey so if you head there to the usual shelterd spots then time it accordingly.)
Prospects have changed to Thurdfay and friday with Friday looking the best wind wise...

Yesterdays Winds proved more of an issue thn usual, hiding the underlyng swell with alot of chop. Sands wasn't quite working as well as it could have. A number of other corner spots did however hold a fair sized 3-5ft wave however they were slow and fat.
Thursday Update
This mornings conditions reflect much like yestersdays but bigger and with more of a solid direction in the wind. Holding a W-NW over the course of the day thoese coner spots shelterd from W-NW winds should produce a better wave today as swell hight peek at 10ft. Again not ideal but you can find a cleanish wave today on the llyen 3-6ft and 3-4ft on Angelsey.

Yesterday saw some big size commng through, Me, Tom and Steve went to ceriad to fine some slightly lumpy but kegging rights comming off the 5-7ft wedges. Good fun authough the banks are a bit crappy at high tide at the mo which is a shame.
Friday Update
As predited northerly winds have come though today and has begun to sweing the swell direction NW-N with it. Peeks of 7-8ft on the bouy suggest that there is still lots of swell around but only at a 6sec period. The likes of Ceriad should just about pick this up and the same with the corner of the mouth.
Weekend Forecast
Sat Its unlucky that the system has timed the way it has as is not looking like any improment will show. Winds turn west by 9-10am justin tme for the Surf Relief comp to begin. It could be that it will generate just enough wind swell to produece a riable wave but its not looking anythign more than 1-2ft until late afternoon when it builds again.
Sunday Might just be the saviour with the winds blowing west for that little bit longer briging up the wind swell size and could give us more size. The wind speed will also have dropped. A possibility of the comp being held on the sunday who knows!?
Eather way there is LOADS going on on Saturday, the Surf Cinema all afternoon, beachcoming competition, paddeling comps, and of course the after party in the evening. A great chance all round to raise money for charity.
See you there! (look out for the Red VW Transporter with a "ThreeSixty" sticker on the back). Give us a knock and Me and Em will be there!

Dispite the surf comp being called off over the Surf relief event it was a wicked day with the bechcombing coing on then th surf cinema in the afternoon. The day was rounded off with the after party in which everyone was hammerd (except me ) but I saw thing that most people peoberly want to forget As it stood at th end of the evening almost £700 had been raised. If the comp had gone ahead it proberly woud have been double that but thats sods law up here. Well done to everyone involved and there is talk of making it an anual event for charity. Forecast for the WeekIts not worth doing a day by day breakdown right now as there is naff all ground swell out there as the urrent low passes to the north of ireland and the UK missng our swell window, thanks to the high pressure sitting just off the end of cornwall. Earlyest prospects of surf arrive with the trailing end of the system that might just send a little swell up our way on Thursday but thats goin to be VERY little and pretty might unlikely to show. Currently we're looking at a flat week ahead with moderate West - North winds until Sunday earlyest unless substantial changes occur. Will Update if they do. Club meetings start up again tomorrow. Committee change over vote will also be soon. Date to be confirmed.

Well, the weeks flatness has come a good time for us with all the end of year assignments & dissertation work to be done. It means we're not missing any sweet surf!
However as expects we've got a change for next week thats going to produce some clean swells if all goes to current forecasting...
With the sizable system approaching from the NW atlantic and set to track SE onto the french and spanish coast it will be passing right past our swell window and sending us some nice swell. As the edge of it passes us we're gong to get a mix of winds along with that size produecng some really good condirtions for the whole area...
Sunday A slow start to the day but typical for this senario... As ther system approches we're going to see the swell build form nothing up to peeks of 7ft arounf mid afternoon, with it still bieng the first swells the period is low at 5-6seconds and accompanied by a heafty S-SE wind. Most of our spots that pick up this swell will be cross/off shore so its going to be a nice start to the comming week. Head to the mouth for the size but could be a little too exposed int he middle however the corner should see a clean wave 3-5ft. Angelsey should also pick this up but agian smaller more like 2-3ft
Monday As the first wave of swell passes we will see a sump in swell hight but a build in wave period averaging arounf 7-8seconds with a possibility of higher periods by late evening. Looking arund 2ft at most beaches for the day with dropping but still onshore winds (WSW)
Tuesday A wave period forecast at 10seconds this is the bulk of th ground swell comming through, Really good quality waves authough small (only peeking at 5ft on the bouy) Hells mouth tends to pick up these type of swell really well and is the best bet for a wave this week. To make things better winds are dropping to a lightish onshore. The good quality swell should push through this wind issue giveing a supprisingly good quality wave. 2-4ft i'd say.
Wednesday Wind turning 180 over night starting SE and moving into a due East wind by early afternoon every will be pretty much off shore. Swells will naturally drop slightly as the winds are still above 10mph. Super clean 2ft for the afternoon down at the mouth with the period reming arounf 8-9seconds. Bigger at ceriad with the wedges. Most likly too small for Angelsey.
Thursday Still early to call for defiate but winds remain due east but we will see a build in swell hight once again but unfortunaty its in the wrong direction. I'll call this nearer the time.
Prospects later week.. Winds remain east to south east and gradually building, seas will in tunr build but as said the swell direction is the wrong way.
I'll be updating every day as current conditions change.

Sunday Update Still looking good for the swell to arrive by mid afternoon. Still alot of low period chop out there right now but that wll shape up round early avo as the swell builds.
Beach Clean at Hells Mouth today so you have somthing to occupy yourselves with whilst the swell builds.
If your sticking to Angelsey today then you might as well wait until 3ish once its all pushing through. Winds are stil a strong SE. Warm but a bit choppy.

It was blowing a gale out yesterday but the ground swell just bout managed to push through the cross shore winds to give a ridable wave on the llyen and on angelsey...
Monday Update Todays sees a settinging on winds speed as well as a change in direction. Unfortunally its now West which meand onshore for pretty much everywhere and the swells not quite big enough for the north shore llyenn spots... Personally I would bother today unless you can only get out today. in which case head to cable and nobler for a small shelterd(ish) wave 2ft or so.

Tuesday Update
Swells dropped more than expected below peeks of 4.5ft but a fairly good period. Arguable whether its big enough to warrent staying in the angelsey area. The Mouth and ceriad will pick up what's left of this swells that is blessed with very light NE winds. Its expected to stay like this for the day.

Wednesday Update...
Still some of the swell rolling in this morning be it very small it has a good enough period to be producing a couple of foot down on the Llyens SW faceing beaches. To help it all along, winds are still a light NE making perfect off shore conditions. Not big enough for angelsey so i wouldn't bother. Its only going to last today then we have a small break till the weekend were its looking like we will have some truly classic conditions.
Will post a full weekend report Thursday evening. No update tomorrow morning.

Weekend Forecast We're in for a classic weekend with the low thats come almost directly accross the atlantic remainng tight and defined its passig by our swell window in almost text book fashion.
Friday Starting off slowly today we'll see the swells begin to arrive late night. At time of writing the mouth is currently showing some pretty lame lines choopped by the local SE breeze as the swell direction heads away from us. This all changes over night...
Saturday We're going to wake up to a building ground swell blessed by ESE winds! The swell should be peeking round midday with a forcecast perios of about 14/15seconds. I's still expects this to drop to more of a realistic 10-12secs once it reaches us. Nver the less its going to add a punch to all the sets comming into the area. Ceriad will most likely be wedgeing and keggin up to about 5-6ft all day and fireing, mouths going to be doing its phat peeling thing about 4-5ft As for Angelsey its going to see at least 3-4ft all day if not bigger.
Sunday After you've all knackerd yourselves out from Sat Sundays going to be a bit mellower as the swells slow drops. Starting off the day peeking about 3-4ft on most breaks and droping to a mellow 2ft average by the evening. winds of course will now be perfictally offshore ENE. and the perios setteling out much like Sat. Angelseys best in the morning.
Prospects for next week Monday early morning you might be able to catch the last of the swell be it very small but by the afternoon the wnds change S-SW. Prospects at the earlyest look like a big combination of win and a little ground swell to give us an ok period and alot of hight. could well be time for the north shore to be going off again.
Will upsate Sat and sunday and a full weeks forecast on Tuesday. --------------- Just a note to all the club. the club vote is this comming Tuesday at 8pm. See you all there. --------------

Had loads of reports of wicked sessions yeaterday morning. An interesting ffect occured over the whol ara yesterday has we curently have unusually low tides this hid the swells once the tide fell making it seem it had gone. As I personalyl hadn't gotout yet I was gutted! However Me, tom, Seb, Hen and his bro went out to a certain reef that evening and waited. We were blessed with clean kegs over qand over up to 6ft before it got dark. Very sweet! Lots of rock encounters and cramps of the leg had by all with the waiting between sets but a good session. (hence why i'l got up late this morning ) Sunday UpdateToday forecasts duggect the swells going to drop of pretty quickly, espically once the tide drops pass mid tide. Get out there now if you havn't all ready, smaller than yesterday bu still sweet with sun and off shores. Enjoy.
