Weekend Forcast
As I dais in the last post there wern't really any prospects this weekend. Unfortunatly thats still the case. Strong 20-25mph NW winds blow in over tonight and into Sat and with no ground swell with it it is going to be a guttless 2-4ft NW windswell. So we're not going to see anything.
Winds tuyrn NNE by sunday and the wind swell is bigger. there is a really slim chance you might find a tiny wrap around wave down at the mouth or ceriad but its a real long shot.
Next Weeks Prospects
Again arn't looking any better. The high pressure it still sat just off SW Ireland right in our swell window. But signs of it shifting on the long range are good. I'll update on Monday.

Weeks Forecast:
Gutted, is what sums up the comming week. That High Pressure off Ireland is slowly moving away but its pulled the northen system all the way round and we've got NE-E winds for the next 5 days at least. If there was any swell then I'd allready be in the water but there just isn't anything about. because of that High (thats is leaving us at last tho)
These winds are going to be blowing very stong by mid-late week and I wouldn't be supprised if we get snow so break out the old Bodyboards to rip up the sloaps on.
There is a tiny chance that authough the swell direction is traveling away from us witht he strong winds it might just be enough to travel back to produce a small wave at the mouth or Ceriad. But I doubt it.
Earlyest prospects of any surf are next Monday when the first system breaks accross our swell window. (and with luck we might still have Easterlys.

Mid-Week Update...
Still no sign of improvement Only prospects are a brief switch in swell direction around Monday time even then the swell is tiny but its got a 16sec period on it. If the tides are right for when it arrives the Mouth and Ceriad might just pick it up enough to make it ridable.
Will update on Friday.

Weekend Forecast:Cold, Icy, and Flat. That about sums you the past week and this comming weekend. The High pressure to the west of the UK is still acting like a wall to all approaching systems and the last week has seen them track right to the north of Scotland producing some on and off good surf for the east coast but often a bit windy cross/onshore and BLOODY COLD! As for over here its been a mill pond ever since. Small flurries of snow have fallen but only settleing inland and in the mountains. Very dissapointing. Friday-SundayMore NE winds and no swell breaking through. Monday OnwardsThat slim chance of a high period wave has diminished with the high dropping below anything that can be ridable. Winds however are swinging to a NW for the day before returning to a general Northerly for the duration of the week. Swell direction is however in our favor and from the looks of it early prospects are a guttles 2ft possibily arriving on some Beaches. Have to wait untill nearer the time to Tell. Its looking a little better for the Uni chapionships but not as good as previous years. Its going to be messy Will Update on Monday.

I'm sick of this. Fed up and generally pissed off. We are now in the 3rd week of this flatness and its getting silly now. Any sign of swells however small havn't manafested or aren't ridable. The latests WAM charts today show the High pressure off the UK beng sliced inhalf by a low moving over the UK from the NNE. Now this is making all the swell directions wrong for us again. Its all traveling away from us. However later this week the N-NE winds may wip up the local seas enough to make lots of onshore slop on the northen coasts of llyen and Angelsey and thats the only prospects of surf for Wed-Thurs. What makes this even better is that this system has cut the high in half right... But guess what its like some crazy invincble enterity that can't be dispersed. Its set to join back together and continue sitting all smug where it was before. I'm expecting this swell sump to go into a 4th week. This high as it returns will be throwing anyother low round the north of the UK and into the North sea so the East coast will be geting plenty of swell again. Peeks of 12ft and cross/offshore winds. Check out my good pal Chris's aka Kendonga NE surf report over the next week cause if your as desperate as I am then its worth heading over. --> magicseaweed.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=10&sid=f4f6c1b8e180ece193f06d307cfd1660*Think of a happy place....*
