Thursday Update...
Yeah its pretty wa.nk out there, nothing worth writing about, a sloppy messy 6sec swell regestering between 7-9ft on the off shore bouy. The winds are west once again making it very awarkward to pick a spot to surf.
Weekend prospects
Its going to be one of thoese weekends where we could potentially see some nice waves as I indicated in earlyer posts. Now we are closer we can see that yes the winds are dropping quite nicely as this huge system passes north of the UK. The swells it has produced are still wrapping round from the NW, (very big swell!!!) and this is why the wavs arn't packing that much punch.
However, the high pressure area centred off the west coast of Spain is pulling developing systems south and as a result could well give us thoese N-NE winds we were hoping for. If they do develop then its going to be Saturday thats best to get out for a surf on the llyen as the swell is unfortunatly dropping and is likly to be gone by mid Sunday.
So, For best results head to the Mouth or Ceriad.

Hey all, I havn't botherd with the updates recently, maily cause there's naff all swell up here right now but also cause i've been too wasted Thanks to the high pressure cyclone thats centering just over us right now its pushing the anti cyclones approaching from the west away and north of the UK As a result there is minimal swell, thet which is comming through is pretty gutless and lacking power. Ok for you longboarders I suppose! Basically the week ahead consists of icey NNE winds and an average or 2-4ft swells on the bouy traveling away from us. Chances of surf are best on a pushing high tide at Ceriad or Hells Mouth. Its very unlikly that Angelsey will see a ridable wave at all authough if travelng by breaks you never know! There are a few openings with dues east winds but still not much of a prospect. V Small funbox waves over all this week. I'll get an update if things change or improve at all this week.

Mid-Week update...
Well Nothings really improved on what I said in the previous post. Again ony chances of a wave at the moment are slim in the early mornings at high tide or get ovr to the east coast of UK where there is swell being generate from a week system comming down the North Sea building from Sat with a better period on it. Winds are unfortunaltly not ideal for there tho (still Icy NNE)
Its not looking any better for the weekend or the Sunday trip but I'll call it on Fri-Sat as to weather its on or not. If anyone is interested we could go mountainboarding at the centre on the llyen, if you are then i need to know before the Sunday so Please mail me on surf@undeb.bangor.ac.uk

There a slight change on the cards for next week it seem. but still no real prospects of swell. Basically there's a small system breaking off and traveling down the North Sea this weekend As a reasults its sending the wind driection from NE to NW for the duration of next week. Ideal for much of the East coast which is were me and Em are heading this weekend hopefully. As for what this does to our area, the High pressure is still centred right over us which is sending any SW swells from the Atlantic away from us. We are likly to see a VERY SLOW build of crappy guttless swell over next week. Still not really surfable Sunday Surf is OFF as there is nothing to surf!

Weekend Update...
Just a little somthing that might manafest its self late sat/early sunday... There is a blip in the wave period forcast as high as 12sec to hit us here in Norht Wales. In the past Hells mouth tends to pick up even the smallest of high period swells. so if your on for a desperate dawnie sunday then head to the mouth and be in the water ready!
I'm off o the east coast now so ctch ya on Tuesday.
